The MPS M 7MK2 mains power cable uses a composite copper stranded wire design, with a microfiber woven cotton mesh outer layer and a higher-grade PE insulating layer. As an M-series model, it uses single crystal copper as the main conductor, combining strong conductivity with the natural warmth associated with copper.

In 2020, MPS introduced a design concept inspired by the traditional Chinese Book of Changes, Yin Yang, He Tu and Luo Shu. Referred to as Helo, this approach is used in the MPS M 7MK2 mains power cable to support a more stable sound balance, clearer tonal presentation and more solid mid-bass performance. Compared with the first-generation M-7MK2, it is described as offering 30% more stability and clarity, while remaining soft and easy to use.
